Mosaic Launchpad
End-to-end design and development of a blockchain launchpad
Full-stack Development
UX/UI Design
Web3 launchpad
Mosaic asked us to design and build a launchpad to attract projects launching on their own blockchain, Mosaic Chain. While Mosaic already had an existing base of token holders and investors, their target audience extended beyond crypto-savvy users. The goal was to create a product that felt credible to experienced users while remaining accessible to newcomers.

Challenge

The main challenge was balancing blockchain-native functionality with approachability. The platform needed to support wallet-based interactions without excluding users unfamiliar with crypto tools, while also educating new users without overwhelming them during critical actions like onboarding and participation.

Our work included

User research
Discovery
ux/ui design
Development
flow definition
sketching & wireframing
Key questions were
  • How users should onboard without prior crypto knowledge?
  • How to combine email login and wallet login in a coherent flow?
  • How to introduce blockchain concepts progressively?
  • How to build trust and clarity around projects launching?
Main Focus
We worked end-to-end, from discovery to development, focusing on lowering entry barriers without diluting core functionality.
The Process
Strategy & discovery
Problem framing
Early discovery revealed a tension between Mosaic’s existing, crypto-native audience and their growth ambition. Launchpad participation typically assumes wallet literacy, yet Mosaic wanted to reach users unfamiliar with blockchain tools.
Research & insights
Through discovery and early research, we identified that:
  • non-crypto users wanted to explore projects before committing to technical setup
  • wallet-first onboarding created early drop-off for newcomers
  • trust and clarity were critical in a product involving financial decisions
Strategic focus
Based on these insights, we defined three guiding principles:
  • lower the entry barrier without removing blockchain-native capabilities
  • introduce crypto concepts progressively, only when needed
  • build confidence through education and transparent flows
Execution & delivery
UX & interaction design
We translated the strategy into concrete user flows, sketches, and wireframes, focusing on onboarding, project discovery, and participation. Particular attention was paid to moments where users encountered blockchain-specific concepts.
Strategic focus
  • Dual login flow: supporting both email-based login and wallet-based login in a single, coherent system
  • Progressive onboarding: allowing users to explore projects before requiring wallet interaction
  • Learning hub: an integrated educational space explaining blockchain concepts in plain language
UX/UI Design
The UI emphasized clarity and trust:
  • clear project overviews and participation states
  • neutral, legible visual language to reduce perceived risk
  • consistent patterns across exploration, onboarding, and participation
Development
We implemented the full product, translating design decisions directly into a working platform. Design and development were closely aligned to ensure flows, states, and edge cases were handled consistently.
Key product decisions
Dual login flow
We designed both email-based and wallet-based login flows, allowing non-crypto users to enter the platform without immediate wallet setup, while still supporting blockchain-native interactions for experienced users.
Learning hub for newcomers
To support non-crypto-savvy users, we introduced a learning hub explaining key concepts, processes, and risks in plain language, accessible throughout the product without interrupting core flows.
Progressive onboarding
Blockchain-specific actions were introduced gradually, ensuring users could explore projects first and learn as needed, rather than being forced into technical decisions upfront.
The Outcome
Mosaic received a fully designed and developed launchpad that supports both crypto-native and non-crypto users. The platform lowers entry barriers through flexible onboarding and education, while providing a credible environment for projects launching on Mosaic Chain.
